A burning bush would indeed be something to see. We would definitely be bedazzled by it. Yet what we are likely looking for and longing for is the holy in the ordinary. We don’t necessarily need flashy attention getters and jaw dropping miracles (though they do help at times!). What we do need each day, every day, is God’s presence and activity in the nitty gritty joys and sorrows of life in this world.
Holy Encounter is about seeing and experiencing God in daily life. Here you’ll find musings on many topics–church life, politics, culture, sports, food, family, citizenship in a global world, and more. Whatever the topic the goal will be to discern what God is up to in our lives and in our world and to discover God’s gracious invitation for us to be a part of God’s redeeming and liberating work.
